Financial Controller – West Sussex (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a growing subsidiary based in West Sussex. Reporting to an experienced Finance Director, you will partner with senior stakeholders to deliver comprehensive financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with accompanying analysis.
• Manage balance sheet, cash flow and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Handle VAT returns and revenue recognition.
• Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
• Act as a business partner to senior stakeholders, providing performance and commercial analysis.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (first‑time passes acceptable) with a degree.
• Current experience in practice and a desire to move into industry.
• Mature, dedicated approach with strong communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
