Financial Planner – Exeter & Surrounding Area

About the role

Capio Recruitment is partnering with a respected financial planning firm to hire a Financial Planner for its Exeter and surrounding area office. You will inherit an established client portfolio and work within a collaborative team that values long‑term relationships and high‑quality advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an existing portfolio of clients across the Exeter region.
• Provide holistic financial planning advice covering pensions, investments and broader wealth planning.
• Conduct regular reviews to maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Identify additional planning opportunities for existing clients.
• Work closely with paraplanners and support teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Generate new business through referrals, networking and professional contacts.
• Uphold technical and regulatory standards while delivering tailored advice.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 4 Diploma and Chartered Financial Planner status, or actively progressing towards it.
• Previous experience in an independent financial planning or wealth management environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and holistic financial planning.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for first‑class client outcomes.
