Financial Planner – Wealth Management

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK wealth management firm to hire an experienced Financial Planner for their City of London office. The role offers the chance to manage an existing client portfolio while delivering holistic financial advice across a range of wealth‑management disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of approximately 70 high‑net‑worth clients.
• Provide comprehensive financial planning advice covering pensions, investments, protection, tax and estate planning.
• Identify growth opportunities through referrals, internal introductions and relationship development.
• Deliver tailored solutions aligned with each client’s financial objectives.
• Collaborate with paraplanning and administrative teams to maximise client‑facing time.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
• Current Competent Adviser Status (CAS) and a valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and broader financial planning.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management abilities.
• Chartered status or progress towards it is advantageous but not essential.
