Financial Planning Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Planning Administrator to join a well‑established independent financial advice practice in Burnham‑on‑Sea. The role combines client‑facing duties, technical administration and operational support within a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for clients, handling calls and front‑of‑house enquiries.
• Prepare client meeting packs, regulatory documentation and portfolio reports.
• Manage Letters of Authority and liaise with investment providers for information.
• Support advisers with research using industry platforms and tools.
• Process applications, withdrawals and transactions across multiple investment platforms.
• Maintain accurate client records and update systems throughout the advice process.
• Chase providers and manage workflows to ensure timely case completion.
• Handle sensitive documentation, including identification and policy paperwork.
• Assist with business reporting, income tracking and client servicing activity.
• Oversee post, correspondence and general office organisation.

Required profile

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, regulated environment.
• Proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience in a financial services or IFA environment (desirable).
• Familiarity with industry platforms and provider systems (desirable).
• Progress towards CII qualifications (advantageous).
