Financial Planning Administrator

About the role
The Financial Planning Administrator will join a fast‑growing independent and chartered financial planning firm in Manchester city centre. Working on a hybrid basis (three days remote), you will provide essential compliance and administrative support to advisers and clients across a range of high‑net‑worth and professional portfolios.
Key responsibilities
- Complete all compliance administration associated with new business.
- Ensure new business submissions to insurance companies are fully completed and compliant.
- Accurately input new business data into iO, including fee and commission expectations.
- Monitor progress of new business and chase outstanding documentation.
- Check and issue policy documents accurately.
- Produce quotations using Assure web or other databases and request illustrations from providers.
- Handle general correspondence, ensuring advisers and clients receive efficient service.
- Prepare client summaries and valuations for new and existing clients within deadlines.
- Notify product providers of agency changes (LOAs).
- Respond to client queries on policies/investments and coordinate necessary changes with providers.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of new business submissions and pipeline.
- Liaise with clients, product providers and directors.
- Provide general information to clients, directors or the management team as required.
- Answer telephone calls professionally.
- Assist other administrators and advisers as needed.
- Type correspondence and coordinate advisers' diaries, including appointment scheduling.
- Attend internal, external and provider training sessions.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and communicate professionally with clients.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to develop and stay enthusiastic about the role.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the iO administration system.
- Experience using Assure web for quotations and illustrations.
