Financial & Regulatory Reporting Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced financial reporting professional to join a global organisation operating in a heavily FCA‑regulated environment. The role delivers high‑quality Management Information and strategic reports that support senior decision‑making, strengthen governance and reduce key‑person dependency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly operating, budget, FCA, Finance and Leasing Association (FLA) and Board reports to agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Coordinate and collate Board, Committee, Site and senior management reporting packs with clear narrative and timely input from stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to gather, validate and reconcile financial data, ensuring accuracy, auditability and suitability for executive and regulatory reporting.
• Monitor, interpret and communicate KPI performance, analyse variances and evaluate return metrics such as contribution, margin, ROA/ROE, cost‑to‑income and risk‑adjusted returns.
• Identify risks, propose improvement opportunities and provide insight through trend analysis.
• Own and maintain performance dashboards and recurring MI, ensuring senior stakeholders receive timely, decision‑useful information.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial reporting within an FCA‑regulated environment.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality management and regulatory reports.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting data to senior audiences.
