Financial Reporting Manager (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Are you an ambitious, qualified accountant looking to step into a highly visible role within a fast‑paced, international environment? This fixed‑term opportunity allows you to join a high‑performing EMEA finance function of a globally recognised professional services organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver month‑end close processes, including journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review management accounts and financial reporting to tight global deadlines.
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation across UK and international entities.
• Support external audit processes and ensure timely, compliant filings.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Take ownership of VAT returns and wider tax compliance requirements.
• Partner with internal teams and external advisors to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with 3–5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Background in audit or financial reporting, preferably within professional services or a complex multi‑entity environment.
• Strong experience in statutory accounts, VAT and financial compliance.
• Exposure to international operations and multi‑currency environments.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
• Proactive “can‑do” attitude with ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across finance and non‑finance teams.
