Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

The Financial Reporting Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and lead the finance function during a period of rapid growth. This senior position combines deep technical accounting expertise with people‑management responsibilities, overseeing a team of up to 12 finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare, review and approve journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights to the CFO.
• Produce management accounts, board reports and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Own the annual external audit and statutory accounts preparation.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, including IFRS 16, and uphold robust financial controls.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, governance and accounting processes.
• Mentor, coach and develop a finance team of up to 12 members, conducting performance reviews and one‑to‑one meetings.
• Allocate resources, plan workloads and ensure deadlines are met across the finance function.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, system enhancements and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting and external audit within a mid‑size or larger organisation.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership of finance teams, with a focus on developing talent and fostering a collaborative culture.
