Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a boutique accounting and financial reporting firm in Theale, Berkshire, to find a technically strong, qualified accountant for a senior client‑focused position. The Financial Reporting Manager will lead a diverse portfolio of complex reporting projects, working closely with business directors and senior engagement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of financial reporting projects from planning through to completion.
• Deliver high‑quality financial reporting solutions to listed companies, private‑equity‑backed organisations and multinational groups.
• Lead complex and judgemental areas of client work, including consolidation rebuilds and technical accounting analysis.
• Support Business Directors and senior engagement teams across client engagements.
• Coach, mentor and delegate effectively to trainees and junior team members.
• Review work, provide constructive feedback and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with experience in a Top 20 accountancy practice.
• Strong technical background in financial reporting and accounting.
• Ambitious, client‑focused and comfortable working autonomously.
• Proven ability to build sustainable client relationships.
