Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Reporting Manager to join our fast‑growing, acquisitive organisation in Blackburn. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead the accounting and onboarding of acquisitions while supporting strategic finance initiatives and transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business combination accounting for newly acquired businesses.
• Manage purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets and net asset valuations.
• Review acquisition structures to ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
• Build strong relationships with business partners to ensure smooth transition into the Group.
• Lead and develop the Onboarding team while coordinating shared resources across the wider finance function.
• Lead the technical review of a large portfolio of statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support the Group's transition to IFRS, including technical analysis and implementation.
• Assist with audit and wider financial reporting activities.
• Oversee VAT compliance processes and provide technical support where required.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience of IFRS implementation or finance transformation projects is advantageous.
