Financial Services Manager

About the role

Fairhive Homes is seeking a Financial Services Manager on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract to support a major Housing Management Project. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will lead both strategic and operational aspects of the Financial Services team, ensuring robust financial controls and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee income, payment and accounting systems, maintaining integrity and accuracy.
• Manage cash flow, payroll governance, tax compliance, rent accounting, creditor payments and statutory reporting.
• Provide leadership across two management functions, covering senior and lower‑grade responsibilities.
• Co‑manage and develop the Financial Services team, driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Support delivery of project objectives linked to the Housing Management Project budget.

Required profile

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in financial services, accounting or finance operations.
• Proven people‑management and leadership experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in financial controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
