Fire Alarm Engineer – North East England

About the role

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to join a growing team serving the North East England region. This full‑time, permanent position involves travelling to multiple client sites to install, service and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair and fault‑find fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Cover a variety of manufacturers and product ranges.
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide clear updates.
• Support fellow team members and uphold high quality workmanship.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Positive attitude, self‑motivation and willingness to learn.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the fire industry is desirable but not mandatory.
• Openness to training across different fire‑alarm disciplines.

Required skills

• Fire alarm installation and maintenance.
• Emergency lighting servicing.
• Fault‑finding and troubleshooting of fire safety systems.
• Knowledge of multiple fire alarm manufacturers.
