Fire Alarm Engineer – South West England

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Fire Alarm Engineer to join a growing team serving the South West England region. The role is full‑time, permanent and field‑based, offering a competitive salary and a company vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, fault‑find and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across multiple client sites.
• Work with a variety of manufacturers’ equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain high quality of workmanship and complete tasks efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with customers throughout each project.
• Provide support to colleagues when required and contribute to on‑call rota duties.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Motivated and eager to seize opportunities.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the fire industry (not mandatory, training provided).
• Willingness to train across single or multiple disciplines.
• Positive attitude and self‑motivation.

Required skills

• Fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
• Emergency lighting servicing.
• Fault finding on fire alarm equipment.
• Knowledge of multiple fire alarm manufacturers.
• Relevant certifications such as IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA, City & Guilds.
