Fire Alarm Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a well‑established fire and security company serving South East London. The role focuses on service, fault‑finding and maintenance of a wide range of fire alarm systems – no installation work is required.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and fault‑find on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults quickly to minimise system downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits and complete accurate service reports.
• Identify remedial works, report findings and ensure all work complies with current fire safety regulations.
• Provide professional customer service on site and participate in a 1‑in‑7 on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and the ability to work independently.
• FIA qualification or manufacturer training is advantageous.

What we offer

• Basic salary £35,000‑£42,000 per year (depending on experience).
