Fire Alarm Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our independent team covering Hampshire, South West London, Surrey and surrounding areas. The role is based locally with a typical 9‑5 finish, allowing you to be home early most days.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and test fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites.
• Carry out routine inspections and produce accurate service reports.
• Provide quotations for new installations or upgrades when required.
• Respond to occasional call‑outs, currently averaging one in six jobs.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with UK fire safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fire alarm servicing or a similar engineering role.
• Previous titles such as Fire Alarm Engineer, Fire Alarm Technician, or Fire Alarm Systems Engineer are desirable.
• Resides within North Hampshire, Surrey, South West London, East Berkshire, West Sussex or nearby areas.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
