Fire and Health & Safety Risk Assessor (Reading/Oxford)

About the role

We are seeking a Fire and Health & Safety Risk Assessor to join SRVO’s expanding Risk team. The role involves delivering site‑based fire and general health & safety risk assessments across a diverse portfolio in the Reading and Oxford area, producing clear, actionable reports for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fire risk assessments and general health & safety risk assessments in residential, commercial, industrial and education settings.
• Produce clear, structured reports that prioritise remedial actions and comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant legislation.
• Liaise with clients and property managers to explain findings, support compliance planning and facilitate timely resolution of issues.
• Assist clients with scheduling remedial works and attend meetings to discuss compliance strategies.
• Peer‑review assessments and recommendations to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain accurate records, manage your diary and meet KPI targets.

Required profile

• NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent Level 3).
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent Level 3).
• Proven experience conducting fire and health & safety risk assessments.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK fire safety and health & safety legislation.
• Excellent judgement, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
