Fire and Security Engineer – Essex

About the role

We are seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to join our growing team on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role is field‑based, covering Essex and surrounding areas, and involves installing, servicing and maintaining fire, intruder, CCTV and access control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Installation, service, repair, fault‑finding and maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
• Cover a variety of sites across the region, working with multiple manufacturers.
• Take responsibility for the overall quality of work delivered.
• Communicate effectively with customers at all times.
• Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and support team members when required.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• At least 3 years’ experience in the fire and security sector.
• Drive and enthusiasm to seize opportunities.
• Willingness to train across single or multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of a range of manufacturers.
• Desirable qualifications: IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA, City & Guilds.
• Positive attitude and self‑motivation.
