Fire and Security Engineer – Southampton

About the role

We are seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to join a growing team in Southampton. The role involves delivering high‑quality installation, service and maintenance of fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access‑control systems across a variety of client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair and fault‑find fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access‑control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on site.
• Work with a range of manufacturers’ equipment and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and document work completed.
• Support colleagues and contribute to overall quality of service.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in the fire and security sector.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Positive, self‑motivated attitude with a drive to seize opportunities.
• Willingness to train across single or multiple disciplines.

Required skills

• Fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
• Intruder alarm system installation and maintenance.
• CCTV system installation and maintenance.
• Access‑control system installation and maintenance.
• Fault‑finding and troubleshooting across multiple manufacturers.
• Relevant certifications such as IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA or City & Guilds (desirable).
