Fire Damper Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Damper Engineer to join a growing team in the West Midlands. The role offers long‑term stability and opportunities for progression within a reputable company.

Key responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire dampers on commercial and residential sites.
• Carry out routine inspections in line with relevant standards and regulations.
• Identify defects and perform remedial works where required.
• Complete accurate service reports and record inspection findings.
• Work across a range of client sites throughout the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
• Provide a professional service while maintaining strong health and safety standards.
• Be flexible to work both day and twilight shifts when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Fire Damper Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of fire damper testing, inspection and remedial works.
• Knowledge of or qualification relating to BS 9999:2017.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to work day and twilight shifts.
• Willingness to stay away from home when required.
