Fire Door Installer

About the role

Axis CLC is seeking a Fire Door Installer to join its maintenance and refurbishment team across the East Anglia region. You will work on a variety of social housing, MOD, healthcare and education sites, ensuring fire doors are installed and maintained to the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install fire door sets following manufacturers' installation guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records in line with third‑party accreditation requirements using apps such as Plan Radar.
• Travel across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire, with occasional trips outside the area.
• Work both independently and as part of a team on diverse client sites.
• Troubleshoot issues and rectify them to compliant standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience as a fire door installer or maintainer (desirable).
• Strong interest in fire safety and willingness to develop knowledge.
• Polite, friendly, flexible with a can‑do attitude.
• Clean driving licence and own tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fire‑evidence apps such as Plan Radar, Bolster, CCS Systems and Site Audit Pro.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer standard details.
