Fire Extinguisher Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Extinguisher Engineer to join a well‑established fire safety business serving the North West. The role focuses on servicing portable fire extinguishers and may include basic testing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems. You will work across a varied commercial client base, delivering high‑quality service and building strong relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and inspect portable fire extinguishers in line with British Standards.
• Carry out basic testing and servicing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems where required.
• Complete accurate service documentation for each job.
• Identify defects and recommend remedial actions.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on client sites.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and follows company procedures.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools and equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers.
• Knowledge of current fire safety standards and industry best practices.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to pass a DBS check.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
