Fire Extinguisher Engineer – South East England

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Extinguisher Engineer to join a well‑established fire safety company operating across the South East of England. The position primarily involves servicing portable fire extinguishers, with occasional basic testing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and inspect portable fire extinguishers in line with current British Standards.
• Carry out basic testing and servicing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems where required.
• Complete accurate service documentation for each job.
• Identify defects and recommend remedial actions.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on client sites.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and according to company procedures.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools and equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

Required skills
