Fire & Security Engineer

About the role

Join a well‑established specialist in fire and electronic security, delivering installation, maintenance and support across domestic, commercial and industrial sites. As a Fire & Security Engineer you will service a wide range of fire and security systems, ensuring safety and compliance for multiple customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and servicing of fire and security systems.
• Respond to reactive call‑outs and perform efficient remedial repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on various electronic security platforms.
• Install and commission new systems where required.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports using digital devices.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in fault finding, servicing and maintaining intruder alarm systems (ideally Galaxy) and fire alarm systems.
• Previous role as Fire & Security Engineer, Fire Engineer, Security Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Access Control Engineer or similar.
• Competent IT skills with confidence using PDAs, mobile devices and digital reporting tools.
• Willingness to complete security screening and hold a full UK driving licence.
