Fire Systems Engineer – Field Service

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in Gloucester and covers a geographic area that includes North Bristol, Gloucestershire, Swindon and South Wales. You will join a well‑established fire and security company, providing on‑site service for commercial fire alarm installations.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and fault‑find fire alarm systems across the assigned region.
• Carry out commissioning and small works on fire alarm installations.
• Produce accurate service reports and documentation.
• Participate in a paid on‑call rota (approximately one week in every 4‑5 weeks).
• Adhere to current British Standards and health‑and‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience working on fire alarm systems, including maintenance, fault finding, commissioning and small works.
• Good understanding of relevant British Standards.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the coverage area.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills.

• Basic salary £35,000‑£42,000 per annum.
