First Officer

About the role

As a First Officer with Etihad Airways you will be an integral member of the flight‑deck team, supporting the Captain to ensure safe, secure and efficient operation of every flight. The role requires professionalism, technical skill and strong teamwork while you develop leadership capabilities for future command.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in all aspects of flight preparation, navigation and operation, complying with Etihad’s procedures and regulatory standards.
• Continuously monitor aircraft position, terrain and weather to support safe navigation.
• Provide clear communication, advice and support to the Captain to aid safe and efficient decision‑making.
• Uphold high standards of discipline, conduct and personal appearance, representing Etihad professionally.
• Assume command in the event of Captain incapacitation, following rank‑based protocols.
