Fit Out Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Our client, an established main contractor delivering high‑rise residential projects in central London, is seeking a Fit Out Manager to lead internal fit‑out works on a pipeline of 300‑700 unit developments. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day site management, ensuring subcontractors, materials, programme, quality and health & safety meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise labour, materials and plant to deliver works in line with the fit‑out programme.
• Maintain programme targets and resolve daily site issues efficiently.
• Support the Project Manager by highlighting risks or issues that may impact programme, cost or delivery.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure performance, productivity and adherence to the schedule.
• Plan ahead to secure sufficient materials, welfare facilities and H&S provisions.
• Inspect subcontractor work daily for compliance with Employer’s Requirements, specifications, building regulations and issued drawings.
• Produce method statements and risk assessments, ensuring site operatives follow them.
• Write and maintain accurate QA documentation and daily inspection records.
• Carry out daily snagging of units and issue snagging and QA sheets to subcontractors.
• Oversee and maintain consistently high Health, Safety & Environmental standards on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Fit Out Manager, Finishing Manager or Site Manager with a main contractor on interior projects.
• Strong background in residential or PBSA refurbishment/fit‑out projects.
• Excellent understanding of quality assurance, snagging and compliance standards.
