Fitness Instructor – Edmonton Leisure Centre

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Fitness Instructor to join GLL at the Edmonton Leisure Centre in Enfield. You will inspire members to achieve their personal fitness goals, delivering tailored programmes and dynamic group sessions in a vibrant community setting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct individual inductions and assess client fitness levels.
• Design and deliver safe, personalised exercise programmes and group classes.
• Monitor equipment, ensure safety standards and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain accurate client records, set short‑term and long‑term goals, and track progress.
• Adapt exercises to accommodate diverse abilities and health considerations.
• Motivate members to retain regular attendance and achieve results.

Required profile

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification.
• Passionate about health and fitness with a people‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust quickly.
• Attention to detail for paperwork and safety compliance.

Required skills

• Fitness instruction and programme design.
• Group class delivery and one‑to‑one coaching.
• Knowledge of gym equipment operation and safety protocols.
