Fitter's Mate

About the role

Our client, a specialist in fume cupboards and local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems, is seeking a Fitter's Mate to support the installation of ventilation and ductwork solutions across the UK. The role involves travelling to customer sites, working away from home Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Engineer with the installation of fume cupboards, LEV systems and associated ductwork.
• Load, unload and safely handle equipment and materials on site.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Travel and work away from home throughout the UK.
• Represent the client professionally on customer sites.

Required profile

• Previous experience installing ductwork systems (desirable).
• Willingness to work away from home for the duration of each week.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with good mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn.
• Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
