Fixed Income New Issue Associate

About the role

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Fixed Income New Issue Associate to join its London‑based team. You will support Debt Capital Markets and Treasury functions by managing the operational issuance and settlement process for primary deals across a range of markets. The role offers exposure to high‑value transactions and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end operational issuance and settlement for primary deals, including bonds, tender offers, buy‑backs, medium‑term notes, certificates of deposit and commercial paper.
• Coordinate with origination, transaction management, syndicate teams, clearing systems, depositaries, issuing and paying agents and other lead managers to ensure successful deal closings.
• Monitor pre‑matching activities and publish settlement rates, ensuring readiness for timely execution.
• Manage day‑to‑day exceptions such as stock or cash breaks and failed trades, providing accurate documentation and clear communication.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce operating risk and incorporate new market issuance and digital developments.
• Provide supervisory coverage through peer coaching, quality checks and escalation management as capability grows.
• Operate within the established control framework for debt securities operations and maintain robust documentation for audit and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in operational issuance, settlement processes or related debt capital markets functions.
