About the role
Join a respected insurer that is expanding across the UK and Europe. As a Fleet Underwriter you will manage a portfolio of Motor Fleet business, applying your underwriting expertise to drive profitable growth while building strong broker relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite and negotiate new and existing Motor Fleet risks within delegated authority.
- Apply pricing and risk strategies to maintain and improve portfolio profitability.
- Develop and nurture productive relationships with brokers.
- Identify opportunities to expand or enhance the portfolio.
- Contribute insights to the team’s underwriting strategy.
- Represent the business at broker meetings and industry events.
Required profile
- Solid experience in Motor Fleet underwriting (Motor Trade exposure is a plus).
- Strong technical and commercial judgement.
- Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships.
- Confidence in negotiating and articulating underwriting decisions.
- Detail‑focused, analytical approach to risk assessment.
