Fleet Underwriter

About the role

Join a respected insurer that is expanding across the UK and Europe. As a Fleet Underwriter you will manage a portfolio of Motor Fleet business, applying your underwriting expertise to drive profitable growth while building strong broker relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite and negotiate new and existing Motor Fleet risks within delegated authority.
• Apply pricing and risk strategies to maintain and improve portfolio profitability.
• Develop and nurture productive relationships with brokers.
• Identify opportunities to expand or enhance the portfolio.
• Contribute insights to the team’s underwriting strategy.
• Represent the business at broker meetings and industry events.

Required profile

• Solid experience in Motor Fleet underwriting (Motor Trade exposure is a plus).
• Strong technical and commercial judgement.
• Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships.
• Confidence in negotiating and articulating underwriting decisions.
• Detail‑focused, analytical approach to risk assessment.
