Flexible Cover Supervisor – West London

About the role

We are seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in West London. You will step in to supervise pre‑set lessons when the regular teacher is absent, keeping pupils engaged, on task and supported throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑prepared lesson plans and cover work set by the class teacher.
• Maintain a calm, structured and positive classroom environment.
• Manage pupil behaviour in line with each school's policies.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings, routines and year groups.
• Support pupils' learning and wellbeing throughout the day.
• Liaise professionally with school staff and leadership on arrival.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school‑specific policies at all times.

Required profile

• Experience supervising or working within a classroom setting is desirable.
• Confident in managing behaviour and building rapport quickly in unfamiliar classrooms.
• Flexible, reliable and adaptable, comfortable working across different schools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
• Graduates and those considering a teaching career are welcome.
