Flexible Cycling Coach – Lee Valley VeloPark

About the role

GLL is seeking a flexible Cycling Coach to deliver high‑quality, rider‑focused sessions at Lee Valley VeloPark in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. You will work with a diverse range of participants, from school children to corporate groups and experienced cyclists, across track, BMX, road, mountain biking and balance bike programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver coaching sessions across all VeloPark disciplines, including balance bike, Bikeability, and elite track sessions.
• Manage the in‑house programme covering accreditation, skills workshops, club and school bookings, and corporate packages.
• Lead and mentor casual and volunteer coaches alongside the Lead Coach.
• Collaborate with venue management to ensure safety standards for infrastructure, equipment, and coaching protocols.

Required profile

• British Cycling Coaching Level 2 award (or equivalent) with a DSU in Track Cycling.
• Willingness to pursue further coaching qualifications and continuous professional development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compliance with statutory requirements such as Health & Safety, Child Protection and holding a valid First‑Aid certificate.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required.
• Flexible availability for evenings and weekends.
