Flexible Food Delivery Driver

About the role

Join Deliveroo as a self‑employed delivery driver and earn on your own schedule. Using your own scooter, bike or car, you will pick up food orders from local restaurants and deliver them to customers across South Shields.

Key responsibilities

• Accept delivery requests through the Deliveroo app and navigate to restaurant pick‑up points.
• Collect orders, verify items, and transport them safely to the customer’s address.
• Maintain communication with the support team via the app for any assistance needed while on the road.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including the use of helmets and other protective gear.
• Keep your vehicle, insurance, and smartphone up to date and in good working condition.

Required profile

• Age 18 + and legally entitled to work in the UK.
• Own a scooter, bike or car with a valid licence and insurance.
• Smartphone running iOS 12 or Android 6 (or newer).
• Self‑employed status and ability to manage your own tax affairs.
• Basic understanding of road safety and customer service.
