About the role

Hays Education is partnering with a range of welcoming primary schools in Swindon to provide flexible supply teaching opportunities. Whether you prefer a few days a week or full‑time coverage, you will support young learners across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 while enjoying a better work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for primary pupils.
• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment in line with school policies.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, timetables and school cultures.
• Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and professionally.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Ability to deliver effective lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
