Flexible Tutor for Young Learners (Part‑time/Full‑time)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for young learners across the BCP area. You will work with students from Early Years through to post‑16, providing tailored support for 2‑15 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 lessons that match each pupil’s strengths and needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies for a range of ages and abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate updates to parents or guardians.
- Conduct sessions in the student’s home, local libraries, cafés or other community settings.
Required profile
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience, with at least six months of 1:1 tutoring.
- Qualified or unqualified teachers, teaching assistants, or experienced tutors.
- Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (support provided if you do not have one).
Required skills
- Ability to design lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational ability to manage a flexible schedule.
