About the role
Join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Edinburgh as a Flood Risk Consultant. You will work on a variety of projects across water, energy and transportation sectors, applying hydraulic modelling, hydrology and GIS to manage flood risk.
Key responsibilities
- Perform data analysis, hydraulic modelling and hydrological assessments.
- Use GIS to produce technical reports and flood risk assessments.
- Review junior staff work to ensure quality assurance.
- Develop and test flood mitigation concepts.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers and planners.
- Support business development activities, including tendering and client engagement.
Required profile
- Degree in Geography, Science or Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience in flood risk analysis and hydrological assessments.
- Self‑motivated with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities.
Required skills
- 1D‑2D hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW or InfoWorks ICM.
- Advanced GIS proficiency.
