Food and Beverage Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Assistant to join the Forest Green Rovers hospitality team. You will gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced stadium environment, receive full training from the F&B team and have clear pathways for career development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑standard hospitality and bar experience throughout The New Lawn on match days and events.
• Manage all on‑site bars and catering units, including stock ordering, control and reporting.
• Work closely with the Events Team to support weddings, corporate training, conferences and private parties.
• Maintain and clean key equipment such as cellars, glass washers, fryers and kitchen lines.
• Implement maintenance regimes to ensure cost‑effective operation while meeting quality standards.
• Oversee cellar and hospitality suite stocking, and ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety legislation.
• Provide training and support to bar and catering staff and assist the F&B manager with match‑day delivery.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic attitude with a focus on delivering great visitor experiences.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and match‑day fixtures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team.
• Initiative, creativity and a willingness to think outside the box.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards (preferred).
• Previous experience in a food and beverage environment (preferred but not essential).
