About the role
Join a leading food production site in Wincanton as a Food Machine Operative. You will work on rotating weekly shifts, ensuring that high‑quality food products are manufactured safely and efficiently. The role offers a clear path from a temporary contract to permanent employment.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor specialised food production machinery.
- Inspect production lines and perform regular quality checks to maintain safety standards.
- Manage line flow to keep products moving smoothly towards packaging.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with food safety codes.
- Report any equipment issues and assist with routine maintenance.
Required profile
- Previous experience in food production and machine operation.
- Reliable attendance and a strong sense of ownership.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle machinery.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including occasional weekends or bank holidays.
