Food Service Assistant (Temporary)

About the role
We are seeking a committed Food Service Assistant on a temporary basis to support kitchen operations and meal service for residents in Gloucester.
Key responsibilities
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and meal service.
- Operate and replenish hot trolleys during mealtimes.
- Set up and clear dining areas.
- Wash up and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and colleagues.
Required profile
- DBS cleared.
- Positive, caring, and professional attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of food hygiene practices (advantageous).

- Food hygiene knowledge.
