Food Tech Teacher

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Food Tech Teacher for a secondary school in Hillingdon, London. The role involves delivering engaging Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils, fostering practical skills and a love of food science.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Food Tech curriculum for years 7‑11.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, well‑equipped kitchen environment in line with safeguarding policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross‑curricular projects and school events.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and parent evenings.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of teaching experience in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
