Food Technician – Full-Time

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Food Technician to join a supportive secondary school in Greenwich. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver practical food technology lessons, ensuring a safe and inspiring learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise food ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
• Support teachers and students during food technology sessions.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety.
• Manage and maintain food technology equipment and stock levels.
• Assist with ordering, monitoring supplies, and ensuring resources are available.
• Keep the food technology facilities safe, organised, and well‑maintained.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Food Technician or in a similar food‑related role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, hygiene, and health & safety.
• Relevant degree or qualification is desirable.
• Excellent organisational and practical abilities.
• Proactive, reliable, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively with teaching staff and students.
