Food Technician – Secondary School (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Food Technician to join a friendly secondary school in Huyton. You will play a key part in delivering safe, engaging Food Technology lessons and supporting pupils in a practical learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, equipment and resources for Food Technology lessons.
• Support teachers during practical sessions to ensure lessons run smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised food tech classroom.
• Ensure health & safety and food hygiene standards are consistently followed.
• Assist and encourage students during practical work, fostering confidence and independence.
• Manage stock, order supplies and help with food preparation when required.

Required profile

• Available to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, during term time.
• Experience in a school, kitchen or food preparation setting (desirable but not essential).
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices.
• Confidence working with secondary‑aged pupils (11‑16).
• Reliable, organised, proactive team player with a positive attitude.
