About the role
An Outstanding secondary school in Ealing is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to start in September. The role involves teaching Food Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students within a supportive Design & Technology department.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging Food Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Develop practical projects that build students' creativity, confidence and technical competence.
- Collaborate with the Design & Technology team to align curriculum and share best practice.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, whole‑school initiatives and continuous professional development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) designation.
- Ability to teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and proven classroom practice.
- Commitment to raising standards and supporting every learner.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Required skills
- Food Technology curriculum design.
- Food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of KS3 and KS4 assessment frameworks.
