About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join secondary schools across West London. You will deliver engaging, practical lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, helping them develop culinary skills, nutritional knowledge and confidence in food preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and teach Food Technology curriculum for KS3‑5, covering cooking techniques, nutrition and health & safety.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback and support attainment across the subject.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience highly advantageous).
- Passion for delivering inclusive, engaging lessons and commitment to student progress.
Required skills
- Strong subject knowledge in food preparation.
- Understanding of nutrition and health and safety standards.
- Proficiency in practical cooking techniques.
