Foodhall Manager

About the role

As a Foodhall Manager at Asda in Southampton you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the Fresh and Ambient sections of the store. You will ensure high product availability, excellent shop‑floor standards and a safe environment for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute trading activity on the shop‑floor, meeting availability targets and key performance metrics.
• Lead and coach the Foodhall and Night teams to deliver a consistently high‑standard shopping experience.
• Drive promotional and modular activities in line with briefs and timelines.
• Monitor waste, shrink and stock levels, implementing actions to improve availability.
• Maintain health, safety and legal compliance across the department.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge of food or non‑food departments.
• Proven ability to develop teams, manage change and build resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
