Foot Mobile Engineer – Facilities Management (London)

About the role

We are seeking a Foot Mobile Engineer to join a well‑established facilities management team in Central London. You will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a portfolio of commercial sites, ensuring safe and efficient building operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems, lighting, sockets and distribution boards.
• Perform monthly emergency lighting flick tests and annual discharge tests, recording results in site logbooks.
• Maintain mechanical plant such as air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs) by changing filters and belts.
• Execute water‑hygiene tasks, including temperature monitoring and showerhead descaling in line with L8 regulations.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages and thermostatic mixing valve adjustments.
• Monitor and adjust building management systems (BMS) to optimise environmental conditions.
• Supervise specialist sub‑contractors, ensuring compliance with site safety rules and proper documentation.
• Maintain accurate digital records of all works, parts used and time spent on site.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs during shift hours, prioritising safety and business continuity.

Required profile

• Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom.
• Experience in commercial facilities maintenance, covering electrical, mechanical and plumbing disciplines.
• Ability to navigate between sites using public transport while managing a mobile toolkit and handheld PDA.
• Strong attention to health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.

• Electrical systems maintenance and fault diagnosis.
