About the role
We are Girls United, a grassroots football organisation empowering girls aged 5‑16 in South London. The role involves delivering coaching sessions, supporting players and assisting the London Programme Lead as a Lead or Assistant Coach.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver agreed football programmes and sessions for girls across South London venues.
- Attend sessions, events and fixtures as scheduled with the London Programme Lead.
- Oversee and support assistant coaches during sessions.
- Build rapport with players, parents and community partners to encourage ongoing participation.
- Assist with league administration on match days, including using the League App, officiating matches and handling match reports.
Required profile
- Experience working in grassroots football with young women and girls.
- FA Level 1 Football Coaching (or working towards) and up‑to‑date Safeguarding Children and First Aid qualifications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with community members.
- Organisational ability to manage time, complete administration tasks and be punctual.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Required skills
- FA Level 1 (or higher) football coaching qualification.
- Safeguarding Children and First Aid in football certifications.
- Experience with league administration tasks such as match cards and player reports.
