Fork Truck Driver / Warehouse Material Handler

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Fork Truck / PIV driver to join a busy warehouse in Newton Aycliffe. The role involves handling material, picking and packing orders, and operating various forklift types on a rotating three‑shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate PIV equipment including Reach, Counterbalance and Manrider trucks.
• Receive and interpret customer orders, verify stock, pick, prepare and package orders to specification.
• Label, organise and prepare goods for shipment and load/unload vehicles.
• Move materials throughout the warehouse while maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments and input data into SAP.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet operational targets.

Required profile

• Valid PIV licences for Reach, Counterbalance and Manrider trucks.
• Proven experience operating warehouse lifting equipment.
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience, preferably 1‑2 years.
• Ability to work rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Team‑player attitude with strong attention to detail.

What we offer

• Competitive pay up to £18.46 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance).
• Overtime rates between £26.18 and £33.91 per hour.
• Full‑time hours – 39 hours per week on a rotating three‑shift pattern.
