Forklift Driver – Fixed‑Term 24‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a safety‑first Forklift Operator to join our team at the North West Industrial Estate in Peterlee. This is a 24‑month fixed‑term position working 36.5 hours per week across day, afternoon and night shifts. You will keep the flow of goods moving efficiently while meeting daily performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counter‑balance forklift safely in a busy warehouse environment.
• Navigate tight aisles and load/unload pallets according to schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of movements and report any equipment issues.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Achieve daily productivity targets while ensuring product integrity.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of forklift (FLT) operating experience.
• Valid or out‑of‑date Counterbalance licence.
• Accredited certification such as RTITB or ITSAAR (in‑house certificates not accepted).
