Forklift Driver – Heathrow Cargo Ground Handling

About the role

We are recruiting a Forklift Driver for a large cargo ground handler at Heathrow Airport. The role involves operating a counter‑balance forklift in a busy warehouse environment, supporting airline partners and ensuring cargo is handled safely.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles carrying various cargo using a forklift and other mechanical equipment.
• Perform manual handling tasks and use hand‑held devices to locate and identify cargo.
• Process paperwork in line with client requirements.
• Assist in breaking down and building Unit Load Devices (ULDs) such as PAGs, PMCs and AKEs.
• Inspect incoming cargo for discrepancies, damage or other concerns.

Required profile

• Valid counter‑balance forklift licence.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Previous warehouse experience (desirable).
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks, including a five‑year employment/education history and DBS check.

Required skills

• Counter‑balance forklift operation (licensed).

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent role with a shift pattern of 4 days on / 4 days off (days 06:30‑18:30, nights 18:30‑06:30).
• Salary between £32,000 and £33,000 per year.
